At dawn yesterday, Nigeria’s pop star, Wizkid, broke the internet with the release of an official music video for his new song titled ‘Fever’. In it, he featured Africa’s queen of pop and Mavin Record’s first lady, Tiwa Savage, who came in as a vixen and plays the role of Wizkid’s love interest.
The video literally set the internet on fire immediately as it yet again reignited suspicions that both pop stars are having a romantic relationship. Lustful stares, near-kiss scenarios and close body contact are what Tiwa and Wiz are seen engaged in almost all scenes throughout the 3.58 minutes clip.
As expected, the video which amassed about 40ooo views as of 9 am yesterday morning has gone on to hit one million views in less than 24 hours.
This makes it the second time Wizkid will accomplish the feat after ‘Come Closer’, his record from the ‘Sounds From The Other Side’ where he featured Canadian born rapper, Drake.
Tiwa Savage, 38, a separated mother of one and Wizkid, 28, a single father of 3 boys continue to debunk any rumour that they are dating and insist that they are just ‘Best friends’, thus the appearance of the pop diva on the Meji Alabi directed video can best be described as a PR stunt well executed.
