The Lagos Fashion Week 2018 event has officially ended and it was terrific. The 4-day event featured collections from notable designers like Deola Sagoe, Clan, Maki Oh, Mai Atafo, DNA by Iconic Invanity, Ugo Monye, Meena, Sisiano, Style Temple, Lisa Folawiyo and a host of other great designers.
As always, official makeup sponsor for the fashion show, Maybelline New York Nigeria was there to glam up the models. Every makeup look for the fashion shows were keyed by the multi-talented Artistic Director for Maybelline New York Nigeria- Bimpe Onakoya.
From a dewy natural makeup to a classy red lip and wing liner combo, Bimpe left the models looking stunning as they strutted the runway.
Things reached a peak on the night of the star-studded Maybelline Show. Bimpe tilted towards artsy makeup; she created a bejeweled exaggerated wing liner look on the gorgeous Bolanle Olukanni, then on the beautiful Adunni Ade she went for a metallic lip and a unique zebra print inspired eye look. Other celebrities that walked for Maybelline include Bamike Olawunmi (BamBam) and Abiri Oluwabusayomi (Kokobykhloe).
Beyond the glitz and glam for the event, Maybelline NY NG also provided an opportunity for budding makeup artists to work with Bimpe for the shows. The Winner of the #RootedWithMaybelline contest, Louella Amaka Eze was given a lovely range of Maybelline cosmetics, a cash price of One hundred thousand naira and worked backstage with Bimpe throughout where she got the opportunity to network and have fun.
