1] On the 27th Nov 2010, GEJ awarded the EFCC Headquarter Project to Messer Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, at a total cost of N18,867,783,615.
2] On the 14th Dec 2010, Sahara Reporters attacked Goodluck Jonathan for conceiving the Project claiming that it is “a colossal fraud in the offing”.
Lies
3] On the 25th Sept 2013, Lamode complained that Commission was paying about N402 million extra costs due to exchange rate variation and an additional payment of N9billion.
4] On the 27th Sept 2013, Julius Berger, Project Coordinator, Olu-Kayode Dickson informed House of Rep Committee that “the project was completed structurally, remaining fittings, which will cost N9.39 billion
5] On the 22nd June 2014, Julius confirmed completion of the project and re-stated that the furnishing
6] 27th April 2017 was the date Buhari’s Govt approved N5billion to complete the furnishing and painting.
7] The project today is about 95% completed according to Works Ministry and EFCC.
8] The project cost was reversed from N18.9billion to N24billion by Buhari’s government. This may be as a result of Forex variation and inflation.
9] The Project was stopped in August 2015 by Buhari’s govt and there was almost 2 years delay in finalizing the project as projected.
